World’s largest pookalam enters Limca book of Records
THRISSUR: A Delhi-based NGO today created the world’s largest ''pookalam'' (floral carpet) as part of Onam festival celebrations and entered the ''Limca Book of Records''. The 14,400 square feet Pookalam, using 12.5 tons of fresh flowers, was created in three hours by 150 children supported by Delhi-based NGO Goonj and 40 Whirlpool employees in the presence of officials from Limca Book of Records, a press release said.
