Gouri Munnjal in Paaleri Manikyam

It is confirmed that Tollywood actress Gouri Munnjal is the heroine of Megastar Mammootty's forthcoming Paaleri Manikyam, directed by Renjith. Gouri's face is somewhat popular to Malayalees through Allu Arjun's 'Bunny'. Paaleri Manikyam will have its first shot scenes at Mookaambika, by the first week of July. Produced by A V Anoop and Subair in the banner of A V A productions and Varnachithra Bigscreen, the movie is based on a famous novel by T P Rajeevan. Sreenivasan, Jagathy Srekumar, Vijayaraghavan and Siddhique will be also in the cast of the movie which will feature another thirty fresh faces in important roles. Other than Gouri,new comer Reema Kallunkal will also don the female lead of this movie, which is expected to grace the theatres by the end of this year.

Twenty 20’ comes to Tamil

There’s reason to cherish for all those who have always gaped at the multistarrers in Hindi and other languages, wanting to see them in Tamil. A film, along the lines of ‘Swayamvaram’, which had over a dozen heroes and heroines, is on the cards in Tamil next.

This film is a remake of the Malayalam blockbuster ‘Twenty 20’, which had all of Mollywood’s superstars, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Jayaram, Suresh Gopi, Nayantara at all starring in it. There was stiff competition between producers to do the film in Tamil, and it is said that the remake rights for the film have been bagged by H Murali of Classic Creators. He had earlier produced ‘Avvai Shanmugi’, and is currently producing Namitha-starrer ‘Jagan Mohini’.

The film has been titled ‘Irubadhu Irubadhu’, and finalization of the film’s cast is going on. Leading actors and actresses have been approached to act in the film, and it is said to be finalized and announced shortly.

Fans of superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal are gearing up for the big fight this June 25th as `E Pattanathil Bhootham' and `Bhramaram' clash at the Kerala box office. But latest news says that both the superstars decided to adjust one week gap for there release.Mohanlal suspense thriller bhramaram will release on July second ,while mammooty’s fun film E Pattanthil Bhootham has no change from june 25th.

The last time their films clashed was during January in 2008 when mammootty’s `Roudram' took Mohanlal's `College kumaran.' The last two releases of Mammootty - `Mayabazar' and `Love in Singapore' - did not live up to expectations. The same was the case with Mohanlal's release `Bhagavan and Sajgar Alias jacky.' Gracy Singh to start shooting for Malayalam film Wednesday

Chennai, June 7 (IANS) Bollywood actress Gracy Singh will begin shooting Wednesday for a Malayalam film opposite superstar Mammooty, director Jayaraj said Sunday.
“Gracy loved the subject when it was narrated to her and gave her dates immediately for ‘Loud Speaker’, an offbeat venture. The first schedule will begin in Thrissur Wednesday. It is Gracy’s first non-Bollywood movie,” award winning director Jayaraj told IANS.

“Moser Baer will be taking its bow in Malayalam with this venture. The humorous musical is all about a village bumpkin nicknamed ‘Mike’ Gopalakrishnan as he always shouts. Mammooty plays the title role,” he added.

Winner of the Golden Peacock for best director in 1999 for his creation Karunam and several international accolades, Jayaraj is being reunited with Mammooty after a gap of 18 years, according to a press statement from Moser Baer.

Gracy Singh is known as an actress who played offbeat roles in “Munnabhai MBBS” and Aamir Khan’s “Lagaan”, according to publicists.

We already heard news about the second part of megahit Rajamanikyam. But this is entirely different from it. 'Rajamanikyam in Daddycool', How? Daddycool,Mega star Mammootty's forthcoming family thriller movie scripted and directed by debutante Ashique Abu, ex-assistant to veteran director Kamal. In this movie Mammootty is coming on a scene in the get up of 'Rajamanikyam'. Daddycool narrates the story of a cricket-loving police officer Antony Simon (Mammootty) and his son. Richa Pallod of Shahjahan fame is the heroine. Richa appears as Annie, wife of Mammootty. Indrajith and Kalabhavan Mani play key roles in this film, produced by Alvin Antony and Khader Mayyazhi under the banner of Wall Green Productions. Songs, penned by Anil Panachooran, have been set to tune by Bijibal. Sameer Thahir, who had earlier cranked the camera for Big B, handles the camera. The movie will release on July third week.

Shafi's next titled 'Marunaadan Chattampi'

Super hit director Shafi's next film with Mammootty in the lead is titled 'Marunaadan Chattampi'. The film is scripted by popular Script writer 'Benny.P. Nayarambalam'. This film produced by Murali Films planned as the Vishu release of Mammootty. The film will have four songs set to music by Alex Paul.

Shafi, who had done two Mammootty films till date, has converted both the films into bumber hits. Their Mayavi is the first and the biggest hit of 2007.
