Shankar's 3 Idiots Remake Confirmed

Shankar and Gemini Film Circuit (GFC) have finally firmed up on the star cast of their remake of Raju Hirani's 3 Idiots remake in Tamil and Telugu. The film will have a Tamil title for tax reasons; while in Telugu it will be called 3 Rascals.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay (Mahesh Babu in Telugu) will play the role done by Aamir Khan, Madhavan's role is being done by Jiiva and Sharman Joshy's character will be done by Srikanth. Sathyaraj is doing Bomman Irani’s role and Ileana has been cast in Kareena Kapoor's role.
Manoj Paramahams will be the cinematographer, and Harris Jayaraj will provide the music. Harris in an interview to a newspaper has said: "Shankar is a director who understands film music and its importance. I have already given Shankar one song; a mass number, which is the All is well equivalent."
Shankar's first remake will start rolling from December 6 in a Chennai studio. Later the shoot will shift to Dehradoon.
